reCAPTCHA: a security tool that keeps your information safe

CAPTCHA: a security tool that keeps your information safe - DoorsancharWhenever we log in for a new Google service, change a password for the existing account, we are constantly asked to solve the CAPTCHA. Until and unless you don’t complete it in the correct way, you don’t get access to the page. It is a part of the process of account verification and simple test to keep your information safe so next time you see it, solve it with little gratification.

reCAPTCHA differentiates between humans and robots. Humans can solve distorted text but robots can’t. According to Google blog, reCAPTCHA actively considers a user’s entire engagement with the CAPTCHA—before, during, and after—to determine whether that user is a human.  It provides advanced security protecting your website from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA is updated software of CAPTCHA.

It is developed for your security. Apart from distorted texts, it also uses advanced risk analysis techniques to separate humans and robots.

CAPTCHA which stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart was created at Carnegie Mellon University in 2000. Google bought it in 2009 and provides it to us for free. We may find annoying to type CAPTCHA but it is worth for your online security.
