Facebook owned messaging app, Whatsapp has finally rolled out video calling feature making WhatsApp a one-stop communication tool. By now WhatsApp users were only able to use voice and text. The latest addition makes Whatsapp a complete packaged communication app which enables its more than one billion users to make a video call across Android, iPhone and windows phones.
‘Over the years we’ve received many requests from our users for video calling, and we’re excited to finally offer this feature to the world’, states the company’s blog. Users have to tap phone icon on the right-hand corner of a conversation to start a video call. This feature comes just one month after WhatsApp introduced new camera features.
The addition of video calling feature on WhatsApp has brought it on a level playing field with its arch rivals like Skype and Facetime.
