Travel tech start-up Honeyguide has launched a mobile app Trekking in Nepal that features information on various Nepali trek destinations, cultures, landscapes. The features of this mobile application include ‘placards’, deviation and avalanche alerts’, ‘mountain finder’ and lodge information.

Placard provides information on flora and fauna, birds, culture and various trek routes of Nepal. Deviation and Avalanche work as an alert icon that notifies traveler when he/she deviates from a particular route. Avalanche alert notify traveler on impending avalanche and when he/she enters in avalanche prone areas. Mountain finder gives information on various mountains available on the route traveler is on.

Honeyguide writes as App Description “The planet isn’t lonely anymore. There is more to trekking than recommendations and trail information. Truly understand the land and people through stuffs like mountain finder, context sensitive placecards and deviation alerts. We believe that every traveler everywhere deserves to become an instant expert.”

‘Trekking in Nepal’ also provides information about accommodation, weather and emergency contact number. With the launch of this mobile app, travelling in Nepal will be a lot easier as it comes with basic and significant information about  Nepal.

The application is available on android and iOS phones and trekking regions can be bought in-app-purchase. Currently, Annapurna Base camp trek, Ghorepani poon hill trek, Everest region trek are available in-app-purchase.
