The Microsoft has abandoned the windows 7 since yesterday. As the windows 8 is gaining momentum the most popular operating system has been discontinued. Microsoft will no longer sell the PCs which operates Windows 7 home basic, windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 ultimate. However the Windows 7 Professional will be available for OEMs.
Microsoft won’t distribute Windows 7 license to new PCs which will force them to opt Windows 8. The company said it will continue offer the support to Windows 7. The mainstream support for windows 7 service pack will be offered till 13 January 2015 and extended support will be given till 2020.
