Construction of Ncell supported dialysis center completes

Construction of Day Care Dialysis Centre supported by Ncell at Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) has been completed. This has enabled the hospital to enhance its capacity to operate health services for kidney patients. Ncell had provided the support to the hospital under its corporate social initiative ‘We Care’.
Ncell in 2014 had provided financial support to the leading health institution of the country TU Teaching Hospital with an aim to enable the people to access critical renal health care services within the country. The newly completed Kidney Day Care and Dialysis Centre has the capacity to accommodate 16 dialysis machines, and it is equipped with RO water treatment facilities.
Currently, the hospital has been providing dialysis services from its existing day care dialysis with three dialysis machines and 25-30 patients have been receiving service per day. The hospital will soon add four more dialysis machines, increasing the number of dialysis machines to seven as a part of its plan to increase service capacity, Dr. Khadga added.

Newly completed Kidney Day Care and Dialysis Centre has the capacity to accommodate 16 dialysis machines, and it is equipped with RO water treatment facilities.

Ncell had support construction of the new Center as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). The company has provided financial support of NPR 15 million for the construction of the Centre on the third floor of Surgical OPD building of TU Teaching Hospital. Apart from building the infrastructure wherein 16 dialysis machines can be installed, the company has also supported to install the RO water treatment system essential for dialysis service. A patient friendly lift having the capacity to serve 20 persons at a time has also been installed under this project.
Under ‘We Care’ initiative, the company has also provided support to Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center (MCVTC) in Maharajgunj to set up world-class cardiothoracic Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
