What is #FollowFriday ?

Setting trends in twitter have become much more common these days. Daily we encounter with so many trends that happen in many part of the world. Some trends last for short period while some remain trending for longer period of time.

One of the popular trends in Twitter timeline is Follow Friday (#FF). Every Friday twitter handlers suggest theirs followers to follow somebody on the basis of their expertise in certain field. It finally helps to increase the number of followers and interact with new people.

The trend was started six years ago in 2009 by Micah Baldwin thoguh hashtag was not used at that time. Later on Mykl Roventine used #followfriday which eventually became #FF in short. Since then, the trend is still going on. This trend can be identified as the longest running trend in the world right now.
